FGN Initiates Payment of May Wage Award Arrears for Civil Servants

Abuja, June 25, 2025 – The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has commenced the payment of May wage award arrears to civil servants, as announced today. This development follows assurances made by the government to settle the outstanding payments. According to a statement, the payment process will be overseen by the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF). While commending civil servants for their patience, the FGN urged them to continue exercising restraint as the remaining payments will be made in subsequent months.
