If academics is centred on the right persons rooted in ardent love for absolute reforms in our present day educational system, then the likes of PROF. URSULA NGOZI AKANWA is one who should be bestowed with the responsibility of repositioning our school system.

At the 65th Inaugural Lecture series of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike ABIA STATE, one woman stood quite very tall so Unmatchable as she gathered and attracted in her usual manner the encomiums and eulogies of both all lovers of education, stakeholders, researchers, educationists, even Nigerians of goodwill as she delivered the University's 65th Inaugural Lecture of the Institution. A lecture titled MEASUREMENT AND ASSESSMENT; KEY TO SUSTENABLE DEVELOPMENT.


Her thorough and extensive digest and expanciation of the topic which brought the entire Multi purpose lecture Theatre with over 3,000 audience to a resounding standing ovation and the building shook to it's foundation as the massive audience applauded in a way not at all describable by any human. She took the crowd down the memory lane as she made all and sundry believe the importance and aca-personal implications of measurement and assessment in the modem day academic and economic revival of our dear Nation Nigeria.

Prof. AKANWA has remained a role model, a mentor of great repute, a devout Christian and a sincere Mother In Jerusalem who impacts very Positively to anyone that vines in contact with her anywhere anytime. She is widely loved by all even her colleagues, students, researchers and others alike.

She has served as the Head if Department ,Dean College of Education of the school before her present well deserved status as DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (FORMERLY ADMINISTRATIONS) a position she has righteously used to further prove that a good man remains a good despite any position attained. 

No wonder the Leadership and Stakeholders of the World IGBO YOUTH ASSEMBLY-WIYA an apex Youth Decision making body of all IGBO YOUTHS across the world have planned for a global mega AWARD OF RECOGNITION for very many renown and reserved IGBO Men and Women who have distinguished themselves in several areas of human endeavours and Prof. Ursula AKANWA has been tipped to be ong the recipients of this Highest Ranking Award if Honour by the Youth Assembly.

It is on records that The Said Educationist.and Academia per excellence is poised to rebrand and catapult MOUAU to a very unimaginable global height of academic and Research honour if given the opportunity to pilot the affairs of the Citadel of Sound Erudition as her Chief Executive.

In their separate remarks, the Global President General of the Igbo Youths VERY COMR. CHIEF (AMB.) JAMES AJUZIE, JP. described the Inaugural Lecturer Prof. AKANWA as a technocrat, a mother to all and an ardent crusader of peace, love and justice. He thanked God for a gift of such a rare gem to our generation and prayed God Almighty to harken to the prayers of well meaning Nigerians in granting the good and noble heart desires of the Learned Professor.

Professor AKANWA is a mother of many children and a Pius Pastor with the Streams of Joy International.

Surely, with the likes of Professor Ursula NGOZI AKANWA, MOUAU SHALL RISE AGAIN!!!
