The leadership of the World Igbo Youth Assembly(WIYA) A socio-eco-political apex youth organization of Igbo extraction both locally and globally has called on all and sundry to disregard and treat as misguiding news making rounds that the ABLE and NOBLE Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the University Governing Rt HON. LAWAL ZAYANNA M. was paid by some group of persons to produce someone as the next vice Chancellor of the University..

In his remarks at a high powered press briefing today in UMUAHIA, the President GENERAL of the Igbo Youth under the aegis of World Igbo Youth Assembly(WIYA) COMRADE JAMES CHIBUIKE AJUZIE JP stated clearly that the PROCHANCELLOR of the said INSTITUTION is a man of NOBLE CHARISMA and clearer countenance who has been so much trusted in great national, regional, state wide and local assignments to which he has been proven so worthy and delivered above mere expectations.He now wonders how such a man of his sound REPUTE could be accused of condescending so low to sell his hard earned integrity and Honour for just the sake of producing a vice Chancellor for a position he has barely up to 2 more years to occupy after exhibiting LAUDABLE signs and results of proficiency, UPRIGHTNESS, openness, sincerity in virtually all facets of the Institution..The interview process has been adjudged as the most peaceful, thorough, open and decent in the history of the University amidst all odds by all who have keenly followed the entire process..

Comrade James AJUZIE further cautioned all who are fanning the embers of discord in the Institution to desist from such forthwith as the teeming Igbo Youths would never allow any such mayhem in our locality as we JEALOUSLY guide and guard this our own and only University of Agriculture East of the Niger..

He also calls on PRESIDENT MOHAMMADU BUHARI GCON to avail this said Good Samaritan who has rewritten the history of MOUAU for good ample opportunities to serve this NATION in higher capacities..
